using stockd to make informed pricing decisions

A very common scenario in sales is to receive a call or text asking for pricing on a SKU. stockd allows you to make instant, but informed decisions. Here's how it works. First, we look up the part number. The view includes not only the inventory information, but also has quote and sales history — broken out by year with low/high pricing for exchange sales (rate 1) and outright sales (rate 2).

Working from this alone, you already know the quote velocity (how active is interest in the SKU), sales velocity (how many have you sold), and the availability. These fundamentals are all you need to do a verbal quote or enter into a live negotiation that you can convert to a formal quote and order later.

Drilling down into the quotes (nine in 2019 in this live example) shows the quoted client*, date, exchange and outright pricing. You can jump directly into a quote if you need more details or just want to use the quote duplicator, change the client, and send the same quote to the new interested party.
